About Filterbloom

Overview

Filterbloom is an augmented reality (AR) filter application for video clips, developed and published by Streamfog inc. Launched in 2026, it is available as a desktop application for macOS and Windows. Filterbloom belongs to the multimedia and video editing software category.

Functionality

The application allows users to import a recorded video file and apply AR effects — including face filters, color grades, and overlays — in real time. Users preview the original and filtered video side-by-side before exporting the result as an MP4 file with audio. All video processing occurs locally on the user’s device.

Technology

Filterbloom is built on Electron and uses Snap’s Camera Kit SDK for AR lens rendering. The application offers over 300 AR effects sourced from the Snap lens ecosystem. It does not require a webcam or live camera input; instead, it processes pre-recorded video files frame by frame.

Privacy

Filterbloom processes all video locally. No video data is uploaded to external servers. The application optionally supports Google sign-in for saving user preferences such as favorite filters. For full details, see the Privacy Policy.
